WWE News: CM Punk Returns!

After an interesting week in the WWE our newest hero in the wrestling world has returned.  If you didn't catch WWE Raw last night then you missed out.  Rey Mysterio pinned The Miz for the 1,2,3 win and then was booked for the final match of the evening.  Another world championship match against none other than John Cena.  We saw John Cena pin Mysterio and take back the championship in a timely fashion and then this happened.



CM Punk made his return to the WWE and from the sound of the crowd they loved it.  Personally, I have a couple of problems with this.  One, let's go back to Cena beating Mysterio.  Their was a big uproar on the Smackdown brand about Christian winning the world heavyweight title and then losing it in a weeks time to Randy Orton.  Isn't this kind of the same thing?  I totally hail Rey Mysterio as one of the best wrestlers that WWE has and it seems like a farce to do that to him.  In reality could Mysterio even hold his own against Cena?  I am guessing not by sheer size alone but on the plus side I think that their match was a great match overall.  Secondly, I would like to have seen Punk wait it out longer and go rogue for a while.  Have him crash some independent promotions and flash the title around.  Make a mockery of it.  Do something out of the ordinary and less seen than the usual.  I loved how he was partying in the streets with the title earlier in the week.  It is his and he is gone.  But as you all know this isn't exactly real no matter how much we want to believe it is and he has returned and I am guessing this is going to be a title versus title match for the best of the best.  I would like to see WWE premiere a new belt at Summerslam.
