Patriots Day Trailer

This film looks pretty good. Patriots Day follows the event of the horrible bombing in Boston during the Boston Marathon. Mark Wahlberg, John Goodman, Kevin Bacon and Michelle Monaghan all star in this film. It was also written and directed by Peter Berg who made Lone Survivor and Deepwater Horizon.  I can imagine if it's anything like Berg's previous films it's going to be a hit.  Mark Wahlberg has really came into his own as a solid actor of our generation.  The questions really is why the crap is the dude still making Transformer movies?  Everybody hated him in The Planet of the Apes remake but I loved him in it.  Then again i'm a sucker for those damn dirty apes!

TMNT 2 deleted scene with who???

Yep, you guessed it.  If you don't recognize the seasoned lady with the coffee cup in her hand then I guess your really not a TMNT fan.

It's Judith Hoag from the original TMNT movie. I guess this is a deleted scene that was never included in the theatrical run of the newest film but will be included on the blu-ray.  I highly recommend watching the new flick.  It was pretty fun and even better than the first film.  Watch the clip via Yahoo over here.

What does a killer look like?

So i'm on vacation this week.  I have ample enough time on my hands.  I dusted off my old/new camcorder that I have hardly ever used and penned up an opening scene for a new movie.  Now comes the part of what does the killer look like?

In the past we have usually gone with the black cloak and either a black no face or the Scream Killer mask.  This worked out really well because anyone could put on the cloak and play the killer. I would like to move away from this to more of a defined look.  I've been eyeing this mask or semi variants of this mask at different stores.

What makes this mask cool is that I think it could be seen very well in the dark and covers the face of the actor completely.  It's also very inexpensive which is what we are also going for.  I showed this to my brother and first thing he says is "people don't wanna get killed by Skeletor from Masters of the Universe!".  He does have a point but I still like it.  I did buy another portion of the costume this evening but don't wanna reveal all of my secrets until the film comes out.  I'm really feeling my film making mojo and hope that I can get my friends and family to rally behind me to get this thing done.  I've always felt like I have a super passion for film making and hope to put it to some work this week!

New Posters!!

Here we are with the release of a couple of brand spankin new posters!  It looks like 2012 will be the year once again of the super hero.  Up first is our first one sheet for The Dark Knight Rises.  I think Bane will be a bad ass and a fitting villain to end the series for The Dark Knight.  I can't wait to see the new trailer!  Up next is the poster for the re-boot of Spiderman.  The trailer looks ok but i'm really not sold either.  We will have to wait and see.

Battleship Trailer and Poster!

So what did you think?  I can't help but think that it looks pretty cool.  It has my wife's favorite actor in Alexander Skarsgard and I also saw Rihanna in many of the scenes.  How can you not love Liam Neeson in anything really!  I don't see many references to the original game and it seemed like the music was very similar to Transformers.  Battleship opens in May!

This bad ass photo was released today on the set of The Expendables 2. It is currently filming in Bulgaria with expanded roles for Shwarzenegger and Willis. This one is on the top of my list of films to see next year! Arnold actually looks pretty good in this pic!

Ghostbusters Returns to Theaters Next Month!

Big news today in the world of Ghostbusters. It looks as if the powers to be over at Sony decided that they will re-release the original Ghostbusters film limited in theaters next month. Other than this video their is no other concrete information. Rumor is that it will be showing on Halloween and that it will be a newly remastered version of the film. I was totally stoked to go see this but with 4 kids that won't be happening and I am kinda sentimental to the old print version and not some HD projected copy if that is the case. Either way if your wanting to see it on the big screen than this is your chance! More information to come as it is released.

What Happened To Nicolas Cage?

What the hell happened to Nicolas Cage?  Many of you may agree or disagree with the image to your left.  I loved him in Con Air and he was a 100% bad ass movie star.  Where is the guy from such classic films as Raising Arizona, Peggy Sue Got Married, The Rock, Face Off and Con Air?  Now he is acting in shitty films like Drive Angry 3D, Season of the Witch and Ghost Rider?  What the hell Nic?  Is this guy just taking a pay check cause he can and not caring about the legacy he is leaving behind?  This week a couple of trailers were released with him as the star and one looks ok while the other looks like crap.  Take a look below.


Eh, ok.  A movie with Nicole Kidman and Cam Gigandet looks ok.  I get the overwhelming feeling that I have seen this film before ala The Last House on the Left.  Not too interested.


Really?  Really?  Pissing fire?  Maybe I am in a bad mood and I know I am just a lowly web writer with no credit for anything other than this website but from the first second having to listen to those directors to the very last shot of Ghost Rider pissing makes me wanna take a piss on this film.  I could write on forever about every frame of this trailer but I am going to stop while I can.

Awesome Dark Knight Rises footage!

This is some very cool behind the scenes footage that one of the local television stations in Pittsburgh recorded. From what I understand this scene is taking place on the steps of Gotham City Hall with an all out fight between the good guys, Batman, the bad guys and Bane. I'm not usually too big on watching behind the scenes stuff but this is actually pretty cool. Thanks to WPXI for the footage!

Superman Revealed! First Official Photo!!

Here it is folks! The first official picture of Henry Cavill as Clark Kent AKA Superman! I think he looks different, cool, but different. Going in that different direction look. I sure hope Zack Snyder punches this one out of the park. Man Of Steel arrives in June 2013. True Blood Sneak Peak!

We've all been completely taken away by Sookie Stackhouse and her adventures or should I say mis-adventures in Louisiana for the past three years.  We love the blood, we love the women, we love the men and the vampires and the werewolves and the witches and well, you get the picture. We are now 4 episodes deep into the newest season this summer and HBO has been kind enough to share with us a preview of the rest of this years season!  It was also revealed recently that Charlaine Harris will be writing one final Sookie Stackhouse novel to be released in 2012.  I wonder if Sookie will go with Erik or with Bill?  Hmmm, decisions, decisions!  lol Oh wait, maybe she will go with Alcide and fool us all.  Ok, I know what too much about this show.  I swear my wife reads the novels and tells me everything.  Seriously!

SDCC: The Avengers Assembled!

This weekend if you watched Captain America you had the opportunity to see the early trailer for The Avengers.  Along with that, this weekend we saw poster/concept art released at the San Diego Comic Con.  Each poster has one of the avengers drawn on it with a background pertaining to their adventure or alter ego.  You can check out all of the posters assembled below.  Personally, I think Hawkeye and The Hulk look pretty awesome!  Iron Man isn't too shabby either!  Click on the picture to see it in all of it's glory!

Movie News!

This weekend was a busy and crazy weekend!  I had the chance to watch Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 on Friday and then last night I caught a late night screening of Transformers 3 in 3D.  I plan to have posted in the next couple of days reviews of both films.  I think the overall consensus of Harry Potter was kind of a let down.  My wife and older daughters read the books and were disappointed with how it ended and a great deal of the book wasn't even included in the film.  On the other hand I could not have been more happy about Transformers. The 3D was absolutely gorgeous and was a fitting finale to the famed trilogy.  Stay tuned for reviews and more information.  On a quick side note The Dark Knight Rises trailer was attached to copies of Harry Potter and crappy camera copies are flooding the internet.  This week we should see the official release!

Old Scenes from The Island in Transformers 3?!

A cool video is online over at Youtube that compares video from Michael Bay's 2005 film The Island and his blockbuster 2011 film Transformers 3.  It looks like Michael likes to re-use footage from 2005 and put it into this years movie.  Pretty good eye for the guy that caught this.  Would you even notice it if it wasn't for people like this?  I don't think I would.

Hey everyone!  Just wanted to make this post before going to bed.  It's been a long week and I haven't had too many opportunities to work on the site this week.  This video premiered earlier this week in conjunction with the new Transformers: Dark of the Moon movie that comes out in a couple of weeks.  Not a bad song but I i'm not too sure if I like it better than some of the previous Transformer Linkin Park tunes.  Check it out below!
