This is a pretty neat video that a guy by the name of Herve Attia. It is a video showing original clips from the 1984 Ghostbusters film and then revisiting the same locations today. He overlays the video's together to make it even more enjoyable to watch and see how they have changed or how they have not. He also does this with such films as "Dances with Wolves", "Planet of the Apes", and Superman. He has a Youtube Channel that you can visit by clicking on the video below.

The Wormhole Coffee Shop
I haven't expressed to a lot of people my dream of owning my own business. I have often dreamed about opening a comic book store or a business that dealt with comics, novelty's, movie memorabilia etc. etc. I totally loved the comic book store/coffee shop in the film "Kick Ass". I ran across an article and this video about a coffee shop in the Chicago area that is doing kind of the same thing.

Pop culture killed the clown.
What happened to the clown? I'm not going to pretend that I know the history of clowns. A quick online check tells me that there were clowns all the way back in the days of the great and many Pharaoh's time in Egypt. Clowns are nothing new. My limited knowledge of clowns roughly is connected to what I have seen in television and film. As a child growing up, I was never around any clowns. Never had clowns at any of my birthday parties. About once a year a circus would visit my hometown and the one or two times I went there I never recall even seeing one walking about. I'm sure there probably were somewhere. My overall point being, in film and tv, I think that clowns have gotten a bad rap. One clown for certain that comes to mind is the clown from Stephen King's "It". Today, Netflix arrived in the mail and it was a copy of the film, "It", derived from the book. It is actually a "tv movie" and is over 3 hours long! I have not watched this film in years. I just remember how scary that damn clown was killing kids and coming back a second time when they are adults. I do recall that John Ritter was in it also and one of the sons from the old 70's tv show "The Waltons". I am looking forward to watching it with my 2 teenage daughters who seem to think that nothing can scare them. Another film that I HIGHLY recommend is "Zombieland". Yes, the title says it all. If you are a fan of Woody Harrelson then you will love this film. White men can jump! One of the lead characters has a fear of clowns. The clip below explains it a little better....

The Real Ghostbusters Toys
I thought I would share with you a little bit about what I have been collecting as of late. Earlier in my blog, I spoke about being fascinated about the things I had when I was a child and wanting to get those things back. Well, I have started a new collection of old, i'm not sure if they are vintage yet, Ghostbuster toys. These are all toys that my brother and I had when we were children and eventually disappeared into thin air. I think most of them were actually sold in a garage sale when I was living out of the country. My fascination with Ghostbusters goes back to the original film in 1984 followed by it's sequel, the cartoons and everything else that is the realm of Ghosbusters. So, needless to say, I have been burrowing through E-bay and picking up what toys I can afford and building my collection. I have a feeling that the older these toys get, the more they are going to be worth in the future.

127 Hours trailer released today.
I have never heard of this movie before I watched the trailer earlier today. It seems to be based on a true story and I know their have been a couple of different guys that have been in situations like this in the past couple of years. It is filmed by director Danny Boyle who made such movies as 28 Days Later, The Beach and Slumdog Millionare. To me, this is a scary film! What would you do?

"The Walking Dead" has arrived!
I'm a sucker for horror and who doesn't love a good, gorey, flesh eating time? If you like such classics as "Night of the Living Dead" and "Shaun of the Dead", I think you are in for a sweet treat when AMC premieres their new tv series "The Walking Dead" on October 31st. This television series is based off of a graphic novel written by Robert Kirkman. My wife and I are stoked! She just picked up the first issue of the series from our local comic book store. I think that it looks great!

Heading "Back to the Future"!
Anyone that knows me personally, knows that I love the Back To The Future Trilogy. It is so nostalgic to me and reminiscent of my childhood. I find that the things I loved as a child/young man are the things that I seem to long for as I get older. Movies, music, tv and toys bring back that iconic memory that as an adult you do not want to ever lose. If you have never seen Back To The Future, I highly recommend it! I am including the trailer below that was filmed with footage not used in the original movie. It is a teaser trailer that was shown early in the theaters. Also, check out these cool, rare posters of the film drawn by the famous Drew Struzan.

Monday and not working, What to do?
I called into work this morning and they said they did not need me. Hmmmm, what to do? Well, I changed the background to my blog. I am happy at the moment with it but who knows how long that will last. I am really interested in posting my film that I made from last year on here. Maybe I can get that up today?

A new and fresh start
Alright, well here it is. I am pretty new to this whole blogging idea but I am intrigued with the design aspect of it and being able to post some of my video work for others to see on here. I am hoping to be able to ad film reviews of recent movies that I have seen and random thoughts about life in general. I figure no one is really going to even look at this with the exception of my 16 year old daughter, Krystal. Thanks Kris. Love you.....
